Our mission
Octopus Australia is an energy fund manager and developer accelerating Australia’s transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy system. We harness capital, investment expertise and technology to build large-scale renewable energy portfolios that deliver long-term value for investors.
As a specialist renewables manager, we believe the energy transition represents one of the most compelling long-term investment opportunities of our time. We build diversified portfolios across wind, solar and storage – spanning multiple technologies, locations and market exposures – to deliver resilient returns while supporting Australia’s transition to cleaner energy.
Why Octopus Australia
Since launching in 2018, we’ve grown rapidly, expanding both our team and our portfolio. Today, our team of more than 55 specialists across Sydney and Melbourne brings expertise across investment, development, engineering, energy markets, grid, asset management and community engagement.
We manage over A$1.4bn in assets across wind, solar, storage and hybrid projects, alongside a A$10bn development pipeline (*as at June 2025). Our operational portfolio includes assets such as Darlington Point Solar Farm and Dulacca Wind Farm.
